Site 3 is created and operated by its members. If this sounds like your kind of thing, maybe you should join us?

Core members are the group collectively responsible for running and maintaining the space. Members have keys to the space for 24 hour access, and determine how the space is operated: the people who create and run the space as well as use it. The core members get priority use of the space, as well as free or significantly reduced price classes and workshops. Core membership costs $100/month, with a one-time new membership fee of $300. The new membership fee goes towards maintaining the shop and getting equipment for it.

Associate membership is designed to be less of a commitment, for those people in the community who want to participate but not at the full membership level. Associate membership gives a person access to Site 3′s resources, e.g. using the tools, using the space for events, displaying works in gallery events. It also gives a discount for many classes and workshops. Associate members are not expected to maintain the same level of volunteering as regular members, but do not get keys or voting rights. Associate membership costs $100 for 3 months.

Community members are people who are involved in projects and making things at our shop, but are not officially members. We have a weekly open house night where all are welcome to come and work on projects, and will often have other open events and classes.
